Minimum Requirements for Graduation: Hours and Grades
- 128 hours total (32 at Texas State)
- 60 hours at Texas State to graduate with honors
- University Advanced Hour Requirement
- 39 advanced hours total, including transfer work at the advanced level, of 3000-4000 level coursework
- Examples: HIST 3315, POSI 4331
- 24 advanced hours at Texas State (39 total) for transfer students
- University Writing Intensive Requirement
- 9 hours of writing intensive coursework
- Courses that are writing intensive are designated with a (WI) in the catalog description
- Example: (WI) ENG 3315 Introduction to Creative Writing
- Grade Point Averages Required
- Texas State GPA
- Most majors in Liberal Arts - 2.00 GPA
- Geography - 2.25 GPA
- International Studies - 3.00 GPA
