San José, Costa Rica, is one of the youngest capitals of Latin America, founded in 1738. It is a modern city with bustling commerce, brisk expressions of art and architecture, and it is a popular destination for international visitors. Students in this total immersion program will study intermediate Spanish and Spanish culture and literature at the Universidad de Costa Rica, the country's largest university. Classes will be taught in Spanish by faculty of the Universidad de Costa Rica.
