Ann Friou, a communications consultant, assists the Dean with communications and development projects. She edits the College’s newsletter Mosaic, produces fundraising materials, and manages the College’s web site. In her 25 years in higher education public relations, Ms. Friou has directed the communications offices of two universities (Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, and The University of Idaho in Moscow) and of The University of Texas System in Austin. She has edited and written for several magazines and newspapers, and for radio and television. She obtained a Bachelor of Journalism degree from The University of Texas-Austin in 1976 and a Master of Arts degree in English from Texas State in 1999. She has taught writing courses at Texas State and at Southwestern University.
