Ann Friou, a communications consultant, assists the Dean with communications and development projects. She designs and manages the College's web site, edits the College’s newsletters, produces publicity and fundraising materials, and writes articles for Hillviews magazine. In her 30 years in higher education public relations, Ms. Friou has directed the communications offices of two universities (Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, and The University of Idaho in Moscow) and of The University of Texas System in Austin. She has edited and written for several magazines and newspapers, and for radio and television. She holds the Bachelor of Journalism degree from The University of Texas-Austin and the Master of Arts degree in English from Texas State. She has taught writing courses at Texas State and at Southwestern University.
