Martha Sue Baker Morrow Scholarship in Secondary Geography Teaching - a scholarship for a junior or senior candidate in secondary geography teaching, in memory of Martha Sue Baker Morrow, a 1946 alumna of Texas State and respected teacher at Bay City High School, TX.

Natural Hazards Scholarship - a scholarship for an outstanding graduate student interested in natural hazards, to support research and presentation. The scholarship honors nationally-acclaimed geographer Gilbert F. White for his contributions to natural hazards research in geography and encouragement of future generations of natural hazards geographers

Alice Rechlin Perkins Graduate Scholarship in Geographic Education - a scholarship for an outstanding female graduate student who plans to teach, in honor of the recently-retired head cartographer of the National Geographic Society and former chair of the Department of Geography at Valparaiso University

The Leon and Verann Simmons Scholarship - a scholarship recognizing the other than average student majoring in Geography

The Spirit of Geography Scholarship - a scholarship honoring the memory of those people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The scholarship will be awarded to one high school student who best represents the “Spirit of Geography,” selected from the annual Texas State Department of Geography Summer Geography Academy for Minority Students

Howard Mell "Prof" Green Endowed Scholarship - honors the former Political Science professor and mentor of U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson. It is awarded annually to a high-achieving full-time junior or senior Political Science major

Richard B. Henderson Award - honors Distinguished Professor Emeritus Richard Henderson and is given annually to the Political Science graduate with the highest grade-point average

Jack Martin Political Communication Scholarships - established by former Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock to honor Texas State alumnus Jack Martin.  The scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who minor in Political Communication

Charles and Julia Matthews MPA Scholarship - established by Texas State University System Chanceller Charles Matthews and his wife Julia, supporting a graduate student in the Master of Public Affairs program

Rembert Freshman Scholarships - J. Brooks Rembert, a 2001 Political Science graduate of Texas State serves as an intelligence officer in the United States Army.  Brooks and Julie Rembert established this scholarship to assist a freshman majoring in Political Science who demonstrates the academic success and enthusiasm for the field of Political Science that Lt. Rembert possesses and values

Francis M. Rich Scholarship - honors former chair of the department Francis M. Rich and supports scholarships for students in the master's degree program in Public Administration (MPA)

Walter Richter Endowed Scholarship in Mass Communication and Political Science - honors the Texas State alumnus, social activist, and first director of the University's journalism program. The one-year scholarship is intended to assist and reward mass communication and political science students who need financial aid and have shown academic potential, leadership, and extracurricular involvement

John and Charlotte Sharp Scholarship - established by John Sharp, former Texas State Comptroller and an alumnus of Texas State's Master of Public Administration program, this fund supports scholarships for undergraduate Political Science majors
