Liberal Arts Graduate Student Advisory Council (LAGradSAC)

LAGradSAC members have supper with Dr. Ann Marie Ellis, Dean of Liberal Arts, once each semester to discuss matters of interest to graduate students. The fall meeting is usually held in November; the spring meeting, in late February.

Each Academic Department in the College of Liberal Arts is represented. Students who represent Liberal Arts in ASG's Graduate House are automatically invited to serve. Academic Departments that do not have a representative on ASG appoint one representative to LAGradSAC from among leaders in honorary societies or special interest organizations in the major, or from among other majors who are active in extracurricular activities.

Contact the chair of your major by Aug. 15 if you would like to be considered for appointment in an upcoming academic year.


Liberal Arts Undergraduate Student Advisory Council (LASAC)

LASAC members have lunch with Dr. Ann Marie Ellis, Dean of Liberal Arts, twice each semester to discuss matters of interest to undergraduates. The fall meetings are held in September and November. The spring meetings are scheduled for February and April.

Each Academic Department in the College of Liberal Arts is represented. Students elected to represent Liberal Arts on Associated Student Government (ASG) are automatically invited to serve. Academic Departments that do not have a representative on ASG appoint one representative to LASAC from among leaders in honorary societies, or special interest organizations in the major, or from among other majors who are active in extracurricular activities.
